I've always hated the idea of getting sick. Getting used to being healthy and then randomly being queezy or in pain somehow sounded like the worst thing possible. And then it happened, I would get little stomach aches after eating basically anything. Feeling like you're doing your best and still suffering for it was discouraging, and I went on a journey and many rabbit holes trying to figure out which health hack would work best and be reasonable to commit to on a daily basis.
About a year ago I learned how kombucha supported a healthy gut, which is the center of our whole body and can affect everything around it. This supported three things, my itch to create, my love for science and biology, and my quest for better digestion abilities.
After getting some equipment and knowledge to get started from our local boochfather John Pants, I started my own brew, making the classics raspberry lemon ginger, and blackberry vanilla. Since then I've started using organic high quality loose leaf teas, and using more herbs and functional ingredients like elderberries that support the immune system directly. I stay brewing now because I drink a lot, experiment with flavors, and supply and support other health and wellness based companies at their events.
